Schooners in a Breeze

I am trying in this painting to capture the feel of the wind out there on the water. My mentor for how vividly the water can set the tone of a marine piece is the late, great British marine artist Montague Dawson. Here, a stiff breeze and high sun combine to illuminate the roiling sea but these boats are absolutely in their element, charging along in fine sailing mode.
