Spring Thaw print

In my geographic area we have numerous “gorges” hence the bumper sticker, “Ithaca is Gorges”. On a bridge walking over one of them one day looking down I saw a wonderful mix of snow, ice, rushing water and rocks. I produced this painting in an effort to capture that power and beauty but also a bit of the frosty spray I felt while observing despite the sun.
